Lamborghini's future product plans

Before this crossover model is released, the Bologna based sports carmaker will update its Murcielago hero-car by adding the Gallardo's space frame chassis. A V12 engine and AWD will remain as standard, with development work to be shared with a replacement for the Gallardo. There’s no word on when these cars will be arriving in showrooms, but it’s at least several years away.

In the meantime, it looks like the roadster version of the Murcielago LP640 will be hitting the display stands at tomorrow's L.A. Motor Show and then at the Bologna Show on the 7th of December. Power should be the same as the hardtop, so expect 640bhp from the monster V12, giving it the performance to reach 60mph in around 3.5 seconds, all the way to a top speed of 210mph.
