Suzuki offers 3 months free fuel, GM, Ford and Toyota have no plans to follow suit

Suzuki’s offer, cleverly labeled ‘Free Gas for Summer,’ comes as U.S. media is hyping the gas tax ‘holiday’ proposed by presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and John McCain. Suzuki's new program kicked off May 1 and runs through June 30, reports Automotive News.

Unlike Chrysler’s offer, which could potentially save customers up to $3,000, Suzuki customers will only pocket about $300 to $400 in savings.

GM, Ford, and Toyota, meanwhile, have confirmed they have no plans to offer similar fuel subsidy deals. Instead, they plan to focus on improving the efficiency of their vehicles, which could potentially net much bigger savings for customers.
